2021 Subaru Crosstrek Unveils New 2.5L Engine

One of the most anticipated upgrades to the 2021 Crosstrek is the newly available 2.5-liter engine that delivers 182 horsepower and 176 lb.-ft. of torque. This performance-driven engine is available on the new Sport trim and Limited trim levels. This powerful engine was only available in the Forester models until now.

The base and Premium trims are powered by a 2.0L 4-cylinder BOXER engine with the option of a standard 6-speed manual transmission or the Lineartronic CVT that achieves an estimated 28 MPG in the city and 33 MPG on the highway.

New Sport Trim Revealed

The 2021 Crosstrek just got a little sportier with the release of the new sport trim level. This model is equipped with a dual-function X-MODE®, all-wheel drive, and hill descent control with settings for snow, dirt, deep snow, and mud. The exterior of the Sport trim features unique wheel arch moldings, a gunmetal front grille and badges, and 17” alloy wheels as standard.
